Classes and teachers

Is attendance at lessons compulsory?

It is compulsory to attend at least 80% of the classes for each course you are enrolled to. Please remember to sign the attendance register every time you go to class. It is essential to obtain admission to the final exam.

What absences are justified?

The only justified absences are those due to health reasons. You will have to hand over to the Teaching Office the justification form duly filled out and accompanied by a medical certificate (the certificate must certify the day or period of absence).

What can I do to retrieve class-related materials if I was absent?

In case of absence you will have to make sure on your own to retrieve all the available material. The easiest and quickest way is to ask some classmate. You can also contact the teacher through the institutional email (name.surname@accademiabelleartiverona.it). If you are having trouble remembering a class or teacher name, remember you can consult the online list at the following link: www.accademiabelleartiverona.it/en/corsi

Are teachers available for any clarification? On what days?

The teachers are available for any issue during office hours. You can consult the timetables on our website (www.accademiabelleartiverona.it/it/orari-lezioni-e-orari-ricevimento-e-attivita-funzionali). We highly suggest you contact the professor in advance to fix an appointment.

I have a problem with a class, what should I do?

We suggest to directly talk with the professor (during class breaks, office hours or by e-mail), most of the times the problem can be solved with this single step. The IR Office can help you acting as a “mediator”, but please note that the International Relations Office has no jurisdiction over teaching programmes and ultimately the issue must be solved with the teacher.
